Hello and welcome!

I’m Shamini, the Director and Founder of Vritti Speech Therapy Centre in Chennai. I’m a certified Speech Therapist with a strong foundation in Speech and Language Therapy, and since 2010, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families to help them unlock the power of communication.

My journey into speech therapy began with a deep interest in how children learn, grow, and express themselves. With a degree in psychology and clinical training in speech-language pathology, I’ve been fortunate to blend both science and empathy into the work I do every day. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of children—those with speech delays, articulation difficulties, language disorders, autism spectrum conditions, and more.

Each child I meet is unique. Some arrive with just a few words, others with none at all—but all of them have something important to say. My greatest joy is seeing the spark in a child’s eyes when they say their first word, make a sentence, or confidently express a thought for the very first time. These moments are the heart of why I do what I do.

At Vritti, we create a nurturing, play-based environment where therapy feels like a natural part of a child’s day. We work closely with families, because I believe that parents are not just observers in this process—they are partners. Together, we build meaningful progress, step by step.
